Yoga Drop-In Classes

Although we offer a wide variety of yoga classes, our focus is meditative and therapeutic gentle yoga. Our schedule is designed to offer a class suitable for multiple levels and interests. See our schedule for our complete list of drop-in classes.

Hatha Yoga

Our Hatha Yoga is an introduction to basic yoga poses. The class emphasizes stretching, coordination of breath with movement and attention to alignment. The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase strength & flexibility. All yoga classes end with deep relaxation and a guided visualization to help release tension and reduce stress.

Core Yoga

Improve core stability and strength as you explore the supportive role of the core in posture and movement. Deepen understanding, awareness, flexibility and ultimately strength of your 'centre' using techniques and traditions in the context of a well balanced yoga practice.
 

Critical Alignment Therapy

This class will explore various yoga postures using the methods and ideas of Critical Alignment Yoga and Therapy (CAT) in order to re-establish healthier and more functional movement and postural patterns. Each class will make use of the props developed for the practice of CAT, black strip & felt pad. The result is an increase in mobility. An increase in stability. And an expanded sense of self. 

Critical Core Alignment

This core-inspired class will explore various yoga postures using the methods and ideas of Critical Alignment Yoga and Therapy (CAT) in order to re-establish healthier and more functional movement and postural patterns. Moving through a core sequence will help stabilize into the healthy movement patterns developed with this special practice.

Gentle Yoga

Explore the union of mind, body and breath through a series of gentle movements and pose variations. End class with a long guided savasana.
 

Gentle Yoga for Strength

This all levels yoga class is a safe environment to learn how to move our bodies in a way that will help strengthen our bones, tone our muscles and increase over all body awareness. The beauty of yoga is any one at any ability can feel it's benefits!

Pilates

We will use small dynamic movement and breath to condition the deeper, supporting muscles of your core. Improve posture, balance, coordination, and mobility while moving mindfully.

Restorative & Nidra

Restorative practice and Yoga Nidra together are an invaluable combination for supporting the body’s capacity to heal and generate the vitality needed to thrive in these challenging times. Each class will include simple yet powerfully grounding restorative poses, and a guided Yoga Nidra session to allow comprehensive integration of your life experiences in this moment. Each session will leave you relaxed and refreshed to be present in your life.

Restorative Yoga

With the use of props, find poses to restore and rejuvenate the body and mind. During the class, sound, breath & meditation (such as Yoga Nidra) will be used to help you leave behind stress and tension.  Enjoy this healing class that will get you to Friday with more ease and energy.
 

Slow Flow Yoga

Expect to build strength, stability and flexibility. Bring your mat and any props you like though none will be required. All levels welcome.

Yoga For Healthy Backs

Yoga has been demonstrably helpful in alleviating the back problems that so many people suffer from. There has been sophisticated research in this area and yoga is now considered by many medical practitioners to be amongst the most beneficial modalities in the treatment of a acute and chronic back conditions. Over time, yoga can increase your strength and flexibility, effectively counteracting the tightness and weak muscles that cause many types of back pain. 

 

Yoga For Hips & Hamstrings

This class is a perfect way to release tension in the hips and hamstrings. It will incorporate slow gentle flowing movements to build strength and flexibility. Finishing with longer warming holds, will help to melt stress away, which the hips love to hold.
