Restorative & Therapeutic Classes
A restorative style yoga class involves lots of support/props and is relaxation- and breath-focused to allow both the muscles to relax and stress and tension to ease. These classes will also help with pain management.
Classes in this category include Relax and Renew with iRest Therapeutic Yoga and Better Backs.
We also offer customized yoga therapy where every student has an individual program designed for them, based on their own individual issues and current needs.
It includes a relaxation and breath component at the beginning and end of each class.
Meditation and relaxation-based classes will also allow muscle tension to release and help with pain management.
Classes in this category include iRest Yoga Nidra, as well as all our meditation classes.
All classes are taught by very experienced instructors who specialize in their area and can modify the poses for each individual.
What to bring and wear
- For hygienic reasons, we suggest you bring your own mat.
- We supply all other equipment.
- Wear comfortable clothes, such as light sweats or tights.
- Bring a water bottle.
Etiquette
- Out of respect for your teacher and fellow students, please arrive on time.
- If you miss a class, make up classes are available within the same session. Please call to arrange.
- Please do not wear perfume, cologne, or other scents.

Each Class is intended to promote better health and self healing through a specific yoga practice designed for the following conditions: Energizing, Strengthening, Immune building, Back care, Headaches, Depression, Digestion, Menopause, Osteoporosis, Strengthening your heart.
Customized Therapeutic Yoga
This class incorporates personalized programs to address your own specific needs and abilities. Beginning in your own specific breath awareness pose, the class starts by leading you through guided breath awareness and then continues with students moving through their own program at their own pace. Finishing with a guided relaxation and short meditation or breath practice, you ensure you leave this class balanced, relaxed and rejuvenated. Ideal for those looking for an individualized approach, the benefits of this class include a personalized home and class program, progression when you are ready vs. when the class is ready and the ability to address a variety of needs and conditions. This class is suitable for those dealing with chronic conditions, to a variety of aches and pains, to those looking for a sports specific program.
Gentle Yoga
A slower paced Hatha Yoga class. Good for individuals who want to take their time getting into and out of the postures.
Gentle Yoga for 50+
Gentle Hatha yoga can be relaxing, enjoyable and rewarding. Join us and stretch your body while expanding your mind out of those old concepts of what you can or can't do. The teacher collects all her pensions and knows what it is like to keep on moving and actively participating in life.
iRest Yoga Nidra
Learn to live with ease and joy by nurturing your body, mind and soul. This class will use gentle movements with smooth-flowing breath to restore a sense of vitality in the body. Discover your true spiritual nature through the practice of iRest Yoga Nidra - a profoundly transformative meditation that brings deep relaxation and healing to all levels of your being. Relax & Renew with Yoga Nidra
Come to your mat as a place of solitude, a sanctuary, a place of peace. This class will replenish and refresh your body, mind and spirit using gentle supported poses interspersed with easy, simple movement. The long supported poses of opening the body help to create a vessel to explore one’s own Beingness. This class ends with a half hour of Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra, a form of meditative self-inquiry inducing deep relaxation. As one learns to listen and welcome all that arises, a portal to realizing our True Nature can be revealed.

Therapeutic Yoga
A gentle class of restorative yoga poses interspersed with body sensing movements using the breath to create the free flow of energy in the body. Some strengthening poses geared to the ability of the students. In this class students will gain body awareness and come away with a sense of deep relaxation, allowing the body's inherent healing ability to be revealed. This class is suitable for students recovering from a lengthy or chronic illness, as well as those seeking a gentle approach and understanding of the body/mind/spirit.
Yoga for Backs
A gentle class designed to strengthen the muscles of the back and abdomen, while emphasizing spinal alignment. Learn yoga postures to increase strength and flexibility while using breath work and restorative postures to help release tension. Focused for students with injuries or limitations to the back, but beneficial for all students who want to learn how to build a strong support system to help prevent and heal injuries. Prevent back injuries from ever occurring.
Yoga for Stress Reduction
Stress has two effects on our bodies: physical and mental. The purpose of this class is to address both of these aspects starting with a Vinyasa-Flow-style practice geared for beginners to level I. This is accomplished by burning off some steam through exercising the body in a healthy way. This is followed by a lying meditation known as yoga nidra to help calm the nerves and give them the break they deserve. Both of these aspects are unified through the life-giving qualities of the breath which feeds and nourishes our body to heal it from the day's stresses.
